Two symmetric breaks below the seat post have developed on either side of the bike frame here. The ironic thing is that this Titanium frame cracked at the ‘bomb proof’ decals. This event brought a rush of emotions as I imagined our trip come to an end. But it is not broken yet! I am going to press on for the last 60 miles. At least now we can say, ‘George Makrinos broke a titanium frame’.

George, I wonder if you contacted the frame manufacturer, and explained how you featured their bike on a cross-country trip, whether they'd do a warrantee repair / replacement for you. Titanium is fixable. I own a titanium bike for that very reason. My concern: Where will the next crack appear if the frame is already fatigued?
Paul, I have come to discover that Airborne bicycle company no longer exists. My replacement options are not looking good.
